The entry registration deadline for Corporate Games, the world’s largest multi-sport festival, scheduled for Okinawa Mar. 4^th ~ 8^th, has been extended by a month..

Originally the deadline was Thursday, Dec. 25^th, but the Corporate Games Okinawa offices decided to accept registrations through Jan. 26.  Any group of individuals or company can create a team –tiny or large—that includes employees, colleagues, families and friends. Each team can choose which of the 15 sports it wants to be involved with.

Corporate Games Super Center, to be located in Okinawa Convention Center, is the reception place where all participants meet to sign up, get their ID card, get information about each sport and program schedule, and receive a souvenir gift. Sponsoring companies can set up display booths, and food and drink stands will also be there to create true festival atmosphere. The center will be open from 7 to 9 p.m. on the first day of the games, and 7 to 10 p.m. on the second day.

The registration fee is ¥14,000 plus tax for each team member.  It’s more than just a competition, as registration includes the parties, parades, sports participations, banquets and of course, awards to top three finishers in each sport.  Venues for the Corporate Games are scattered across Ginowan City and Chatan Town, except for golf..  Apart from the participants, the venues are perfectly placed to allow locals and tourists to take in the action.

The Corporate Games, now celebrating its 26^th year, has its main headquarters in Great Britain. The games have been held each year all over the world, with 15 separate Corporate Games last year. There are 70 sports registered with the Corporate Games, but only 15 sports will be available at this first Corporate Games on Okinawa. The Dragon boat race is similar to Okinawan Haarii, beach soccer or beach volleyball will be held because of resort island Okinawa facilities, and golf in the northern part of the island, Nakijin or Onna Village, affords participants and spectators a feel for Okinawan green nature. American Village in Mihama, Chatan Town, will be the venue for the Corporate Games Grand Parade, while the Great Games Party is set for the Chatan Dome.
