High school boy crashes motorbike, runs away leaving injured friend

Okinawa City Police arrested a 16-year-old high school boy from Okinawa City on Feb. 22nd, on suspicion of driving a motorcycle without a license, causing an involuntary injury and violating the Road Traffic Law.  The boy has admitted to the charges.

According to Okinawa City Police, the high school boy crashed into a car that was taking a right turn about 11 a.m. when he was driving from Goya to Koza Crossing on Route 330 in Sumiyoshi, Okinawa City. The boy had a 17-year-old scaffolding worker from Okinawa City riding on the back seat, who was seriously injured in the accident.
