A man approaching from behind hit a woman walking on a residential street on the head in Kin Town about 9:20 p.m., Tuesday.

According to Ishikawa Police, the woman told that she was exercising when the man silently approached her from behind and hit her head several times, and then ran away.  She was not injured. Police are looking for the man on suspicion of a physical assault.

Police say the man is about 160 cm tall and somewhat chubby and has a short hair. The woman had been listening to music through earphones when the attack occurred.
