Naha Police took 11 minors, both male and female, who had just graduated from a high school in Naha into custody on suspicion of drinking alcohol at an izakaya, a Japanese-style pub in Makishi, Naha, before dawn, Mar. 3rd.

The graduation ceremonies at local public high schools on Okinawa took place March 1^st. According to Naha Police, the group of minors had stayed at the pub with 26 classmates since the night of the 2nd.

Police officials say a breathalyzer test showed 11 of the minors had consumed alcohol. Police are working to build a criminal case against the manager of the izakaya on suspicion of serving alcohol to minors.
