Naha City Police arrested a 19-year-old boy living in Naha City on suspicion of an attempted murder.

According to investigators, the boy hit his father on the head with some kind of construction tool and also stabbed him on chest with a knife about 5 a.m. on Mar. 27th.

Investigators say the boy, who lives with his father, has admitted to the suspicion.

The father managed to make an emergency call to police. He says that he woke up when someone hit him on the head while he was asleep. When police arrived at the house, they found the father with blood dripping from injuries on his head and chest. They also found the boy in the home, and asked him what happened. He then admitted he did it.

Investigators are still questioning the boy about his motive
