Man dies in construction accident in Nago
A fatal accident occurred at a construction site at the Okinawa Expressway elevated bridge at Kyoda, Nago City, in the morning of Apr. 10th.
According to Nago Police, 26 year-old construction worker Satoru Naka was working with a co-worker using a high-pressure water spray to remove concrete from a steel support beam under the bridge, when, for some reason, the high-pressure water spray hit him on his thigh. The spray pierced his body, and resulting in massive bleeding.
He was taken unconscious to a hospital, where he died shortly afterwards for loss of blood. The other worker who was working with Naka was not injured.
Nago Police is investigating the cause of the accident.
