Youths nabbed for DUI, driving without license
Naha Police arrested a 16 year-old unemployed boy living in Haebaru Town for DUI and driving without a license, Sunday. The boy was stopped on a street in Izumizaki, Naha City, around 4 a.m.
According to Naha Police, a police patrol noticed a mini car going down the wrong way on a one-way street. When police stopped the car and questioned the driver, they discovered that he was under age and did not have a driving license. In addition, a breathalyzer test showed about four times the legal limit of alcohol in the boy’s breath. The boy has admitted to the charges.
On Ishigaki Island a 14 year-old junior high school student was arrested on suspicion of DUI and driving without a license. The boy has admitted to the charges.
According to Yaeyama Police, the boy is suspected of drinking and driving a truck without a license on a street in Arakawa, Ishigaki City, around 4:15 a.m. on Apr. 18th. The breathalyzer test showed about four times the legal limit of alcohol in the his breath.
A police patrol on duty noticed a car driven in a suspicious manner and stopped him.
