Okinawa Governor Takeshi Onaga, on his way to Washington C.D., arrived at Honolulu Airport in Hawaii in the morning of May 27th (local time)

While in Hawaii, Onaga is scheduled to meet Hawaii Governor David Ige in the morning of May 29th to exchange opinions about base issues, including the recent MV-22 Osprey accident on the island of Oahu.

Onaga is scheduled to visit Washington from May 30 through June 4th, where he meets with officials from the Department of State, Department of Defense and Washington think tanks in order to explain and express them directly the will of people of Okinawa opposing the base construction in Henoko.
