Marine arrested for beating up girlfriend
Naha Police arrested a 26-year-old Marine, Tuesday, on suspicion of assaulting his girlfriend in the woman’s apartment after an argument, early Tuesday morning.
According to Naha Police, Cpl. Andreas Contrerascruz was arrested after his 34-year-old girlfriend called the police and reported that the Marine had assaulted and beaten her up after an argument. The girlfriend, a 34-year-old unemployed foreign woman claimed that Contrerascruz had punched her several times bruising her face. The alleged assault occurred about 2 a.m. on May 19th after the two had a quarrel.
When questioned, Contrerascruz denied the allegation and insisted he did not hit the woman.
