Okinawa Police traffic check nets 165 violators
Okinawa Prefectural Police gave citations in 165 cases of traffic law violations in an operation that was conducted overnight between in the evening of Jun. 12th and following morning.
Police had set up checkpoints on six main roads on Okinawa island-wide, specifically to weed out drunk drivers. 179 police officers took parting the operation. They gave citations in 165 cases for various traffic violations including five cases of DUI, and 32 tickets for speeding.
