A badly burned body was discovered on the front seat of a mini car that was burning on a parking lot in Kunigami Village, Sunday evening.

A passerby made an emergency call to the police reporting “a mini car is on fire’, on a parking lot in Ginama, Kunigami Village about 8 p.m. on Jul. 19th. A fire truck that rushed to the scene extinguished the fire about an hour later.

According to Nago police, a badly burned body of an undetermined gender was found on the driver’s seat in the car. A fire department official reportedly said there seemed to have been a can believed to contain gasoline on the passenger seat.

Investigators suspect of a suicide, while they continue to investigate the cause of the fire.
