Police not amused about man’s ‘prank’ message on bulleting board
Tomigusuku Police and Okinawa Prefectural Police sent a report of a 27-year-old unemployed man from Yonabaru Town to the Naha District Public Prosecutor Office on Jul. 23rd.
According to investigators, the man had written a message on an online bulletin board in April 2014 stating, “I will plant a bomb in Naha Airport.” The man is now suspected of ‘fraudulent obstruction of business.’
When questioned by police, the man has reportedly explained, “I just meant to play a prank.”
According to police, the man had posted the message on the bulletin board through the Internet using a portable game device.
