16-year-old boy on stolen motorcycle crashes into taxi
A 16-year-old unemployed boy driving a stolen motorcycle crashed into a taxi at an intersection in Kumoji, Naha City, early in the morning on Wednesday.
According to Naha Police, a police patrol car was chasing the motorcycle that entered an intersection against a red traffic light and crashed into the taxi about 3 a.m. on Aug. 5th.
The boy on the motorcycle did not wear a helmet, and hit his head hard on the pavement. He was taken to a hospital unconscious where he remains in a serious condition.
There were no passengers in the taxi and the taxi driver was not hurt either.
Police say the boy does not have a driver’s license, and the motorcycle was reported stolen.
