Okinawa Festival attracts 10,000 in Hong Kong

Hong Kong based Japanese restaurant owners organized an Okinawa Festival in the city to promote special Okinawan products and tourism to Hong Kong residents.

The festival took place at a commercial facility called ‘PMQ’ from Jul. 31st through Aug. 2nd. Okinawan products, such as Orion Beer, Yaeyama Soba, hamburgers made of Motobu beef, and shaved ice with brown sugar syrup produced in Okinawa were on sale at the festival. An Eisa performance entertained on stage.

Some 10,000 people visited the festival over the three days.
