Two Marines hurt in crash; driver tests twice the limit
A car driven by a 27-year-old male Marine Sergeant stationed on Camp Kinser, crashed into a bus about 6:20 in the morning on Aug. 1st, on Highway 58 in Uchidomari, Ginowan City.
According to Ginowan Police, the sergeant crashed his car in the back of the bus that had stopped on the street in Uchidomari, Ginowan City. The sergeant broke his left shinbone and suffered some internal injuries that are not life threatening. A passenger sitting next to the sergeant, a Marine Lance Corporal, broke his left shinbone as well. The driver and all of the five passengers on the bus were unhurt.
A breathalyzer test showed that the sergeant had more than two times the legal limit of alcohol in his breath.
