Okinawa City Police arrested a 30-year-old Air Force Technical Sergeant on suspicion of driving under influence after he refused a breathalyzer test Saturday afternoon.

According to police, a police patrol investigating a hit-and-run case in Mihama, Chatan, about 15:20 on Sep. 12th, noticed TSgt John Music from Kadena Air Base to make a sudden start off in his car as the police patrol was approaching. The patrol stopped Music, and subsequently smelled alcohol in his car. When asked to submit to the breathalyzer test, Music refused, and he was arrested.

Police has not reported whether Music is suspected of being involved in the hit-and-run case.
