Costco reported mulling opening store on Okinawa

A U.S. based membership warehouse club Costco that currently operates 24 stores in various parts of Japan, has reportedly made a location survey with the aim of making a foray into Okinawa.

According to Ryukyu Shimpo newspaper, the company has researched areas in the middle and southern parts of the island from Chatan Town to Tomigusuku City for a possible location of their first store on Okinawa.
