Drunk party robbed of belongings

Robbers hit a party of drunken restaurant patrons early Sunday morning who were sleeping off their intoxication in a private room in a restaurant in Kumoji, Naha City.

According to Naha Police, a group of four men and women in their 20’s and 30’s were asleep in the private room between 5 and 6 a.m. Sunday morning, when one of the victims woke up as someone was pulling off her purse, and called the police. The victim told police that there seemed to have been three foreign men who had entered the room and were rummaging through the victims’ belongings.

They reported that a total of 13 items were taken, including a shoulder bag containing about ¥13,000 in cash and some other valuables. The victims reported that the value of the stolen property was about ¥200,000 in total.

Police is looking for the men and investigates the incident as a robbery. According to investigators, the men all looked to be in their 20’s, and were about 175~180 cm tall. They were a medium built and wearing white, black or grey short-sleeve T-shirts.
