Naha Police arrested an 18-year-old unemployed man from Nanjo City on suspicion of an attempted robbery at a supermarket in Makishi, Naha City, on Oct. 7th.

According to Naha Police, the man entered the store about 3 p.m. on Oct 7th and threatened a female store clerk with a box cutter demanding money.

The woman refused telling the robber, “I am not going to give you money,” at which point the man reportedly lost his nerve and ran away from the store.

The woman was not injured.
