A 39-year-old self-employed man from Okinawa City lost control of his large motorcycle on a road between Namihira and Sobe in Zakimi, Yomitan Village, and crashed into a guardrail, Sunday evening.

According to Kadena Police, the man lost control of his bike for an unknown reason at a slight curve on the two-way street, fell down and crashed into the guardrail. He was taken to a hospital in a cardiac and respiratory arrest, where he was confirmed dead about an hour later. No one else was involved in the crash. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
