Police looking for motorcyclist after hit-and-run
A man riding a motorcycle ran into and knocked down a 68-year-old woman in Gusukuma, Urasoe City, about 1 a.m. on Oct. 27th and left the scene without stopping.
According to Urasoe Police, the motorcycle was traveling from the Pipeline Road towards Highway 58. The woman reportedly was starting to cross the street, when the accident took place. Although the woman fell down on the road, the motorcyclist did not stop the bike, and ran away from the accident site towards the Pipeline Road without giving aid to the woman.
The woman suffered a cut on her head but the injury is not life-threatening. Urasoe Police is looking for the motorcyclist and is investigating the accident as a hit-and-run case.
According to investigators, the man was riding a black or dark-colored scooter-type motorcycle. The driver is believed to be a man in his 30’s. He was dressed in a jacket and jeans and had a grayish helmet.
