Ginoza is looking for few good batters

Ginoza Village opened a municipal batting practice facility in the village’s Comprehensive Athletic Park a year ago, and according to village officials, it’s the only municipal government owned batting practice facility on the island.

The facility is located adjacent to Ginoza baseball field that is used by the Japanese professional baseball team Hanshin Tigers during their annual spring training camp. During the spring camp, many people use the batting facility, but few use it during the rest of the year.

When the village made the facility, they intended it for everyone, in and out of the village, to use. The village wants people outside of the village to know about it, and have more users of the facility. The fee is ¥200 per 30 balls, and batters can choose the pitching speed from 80 to 130 km/h. The facility has three batting slots that can be used by either right of left-handed batters. The facility is closed on Tuesdays.
