A suspicious looking man has been reported approaching an elementary school girl at an apartment building parking lot in the middle part of Okinawa about noon on Saturday. The man reportedly asked the girl to play together and then lifted her on his arms. When a friend of the girl showed up, the man ran away.

According to Okinawa City Police, the man was skinny and about 170 cm tall. His hair was long and tied in the back. Police have searched for the man, and call the case serious. They have notified elementary and junior high schools in the area to warn their students about the man.
