USJ to maintain Okinawa theme park plan

Comcast, an American mass media company, announced through its subsidiary NBC Universal on Nov. 13th that they have completed acquiring the 51% equity stake in the Universal Studios Japan (USJ) in a deal worth $1.5 billion.

Although there has been speculation since the acquisition plan was announced about a possibility of the deal affecting the plan to build a new USJ theme park on Okinawa, company officials told the Ryukyu Shinpo newspaper that there is no change again indicating they would maintain the plan.

But regarding the construction site, and other details of the project, they told the media that nothing has been decided yet.
