A fire broke out in a concrete house in Takahara, Okinawa City, in the afternoon of Dec. 16th. After the fire, firefighters found a body a female believed to be one of the residents of the house in the ruins of the building.

Okinawa City Fire Department dispatched 13 fire engines to the scene that put out the fire after an hour. According to media reports, three people, a 58-year-old mother and her two daughters were living in the house, and a 28-year-old daughter is missing.

The police believe the body is the daughter, and are working to confirm the identity. They are also investigating the cause of the fire.
