JTA to change contract workers to regular status

The Japan Transocean Air Co., Ltd. (JTA), and Okinawa-based subsidiary of Japan Airlines, announced on Dec. 15th the switching of all of their 46 flight attendants, who are currently hired as contract employees, to permanent employee status effective Apr. 1st, 2016.

In addition, the company will hire all people who enter the company workforce after April as regular staff.

Company officials explain that, “We decided to change the status of the current and future employees in order for women to be able to play more active part in the company, and to continue fostering our human resources by making employment in our company more attractive.”
