Okinawa City Police arrested Dec. 2nd a U.S. military civilian employee working on Kadena Air Base on suspicion of unlawful entry.

According to Okinawa City Police, the 32-year-old man was arrested after he had entered into a welfare facility for aged people in Awase, Okinawa City. Officials add that alcohol was detected in the man’s breath when he was arrested.

When questioned, the man insisted that he was “just taking a walk,” and has denied the charges.

The man is suspected of trespassing into the welfare facility. A staff member noticed the man entering into the office on the second floor of the building and called the police. The police arrested the man on the spot.
