The ratio of job offers to job seekers in Okinawa has reached the highest level since Okinawa’s reversion in 1972.

According to Okinawa Labor Bureau, the number of available jobs as of November was 25,423, while 27,948 people were seeking for a job that means the jobs-to-applicants ratio was 0.91.

By business sector, the number of job openings has increased in service businesses related to daily living, entertainment, hotel industry and restaurant services. The unemployment ratio in Okinawa is 4.2 percent, which is an improvement of 1.0 point compared to November 2014.
