Naha City Healthcare Center has issued the first influenza warning of the winter on Jan. 13th.

According to Naha City Board of Education, an elementary school class in Naha City was temporarily closed for three days from the 13th because of influenza cases among the students.

According to officials at the health care center, 110 persons thus far have contacted type A influenza virus, while 23 people are diagnosed suffering of type B influenza.

For now, the cases seem to be concentrating mostly in Naha City, although the number of patients are likely to increase in other parts of the island as the season proceeds.
