JTA adds flights to Miyako, changes to larger aircraft
Japan Transocean Air Co., Ltd, announced that it has decided to add one more daily flight between Miyako and Naha in March in order to respond to increasing demand from tourists to Miyako Island. JTA will also assign a new larger aircraft on the route from Feb 10th.
JTA says that it will schedule one more daily round trip to the island increasing the number of daily trips to eight from current seven between March 27th and July 15th. The new aircraft, Boeing 737-800, will run three round trips per day.
The company also will begin to use a similar new aircraft between Miyako and Haneda in Tokyo from Aug. 1st.
