The Okinawa Prefecture Statistics Division has compiled a brief summary of the local economy during the fiscal 2013.

According to the summary, the real GDP in the prefecture was 4 trillion 59.3 billion yen. The rate of economic growth increased 3.7 % from the previous year. The figures showed positive growth for the 9th consecutive year.

The nominal GDP of the prefecture increased 3.3 % to 4 trillion 881.8 billion yen. The average income per person increased by 4.1 % to 2.102 million yen from the previous year of 2.02 million yen.
