Tour provides visitors taste of Oki family life
A Taiwanese tour company Shonsu is selling a travel package that offers tourists accommodations with a local Okinawan family in Nakijin Village.
According to Shonsu, the visitors will stay at a local family house for two nights, and can experience activities like making tofu, black sugar and more.
Usually most group tourists from Taiwan stay at a hotel and visit major sightseeing spots on Okinawa. Shonsu Co. is looking to create tour packages with the aim of attracting repeat visitors to Okinawa. During their stay, visitors can try their hand at farm chores with host families, including preparing an Okinawan-style home dinner.
