No matter how warm the weather, there’s real snow to play with at Chatan Dome.

Adventure World, a children’s event that takes place every year during the ‘Golden Week’ at Chatan Dome in Mihama, is eagerly looked forward by children of all ages as a rainproof venue play and enjoy, no matter whether the looming rainy season has started or not.

Electric car track is always busy.

The event takes place for the 13th time this year, and has a slightly different schedule from years past as it’s open on May 3rd through 5th, closes for a day on May 6th, and opens again for May 7th and 8th.

The guest of honor in this year’s event is Pikachu, the beloved character from Pokemon. All the familiar attractions that have made the Adventure World every child’s favorite will be there, including a giant water pool that this year has been enhanced with a bubble machine; insect battles, sales and auctions; real snow show with snowfalls and sled rides; a petting zoo and a haunted house. Rides on all air bouncers are free and unlimited.

The Adventure World is open from 09:00 to 17:00 each day. Advance tickets are ¥1,600 for adults and anyone of junior high school age and over, and ¥1,000 for children ages 4 through elementary school students. Add ¥200 at door in each category. The festival is free for children under four. Tickets are available at all locations of Family Mart (E plus), and Lawson (L-code: 82912) convenience stores.
