Okinawa Bank has installed an ATM to Naha Cruise Terminal at Naha Port that allows withdrawal of Japanese yen in cash using foreign credit and cash cards. The new ATM went on line Apr. 28th.

The ATM is Okinawa Bank’s collaboration project with Seven Bank in Mainland Japan. Its the first ATM of its kind in the cruise terminal, which is the first place where tourists arriving at Okinawa by cruise ship step off. With the new ATM, the bank aims to make it easier for cruise ship visitors to have access to cash Yen when visiting on Okinawa. Bank officials also note that with easy access to cash the tourists will spend more while on the island.

The new ATM accepts cash withdrawals using Visa, MasterCard, China UnionPay, American Express and JCB cards from 08:00 to 18:00 every day.
