Blue Seal to offer ice cream making by visitors
Foremost Blue Seal, Ltd. is opening a new interactive facility named “Ice Park” next to its main store on Highway 58 in Makiminato, Urasoe City. The Ice Park is scheduled to open Sep. 20 and will feature a kitchen studio, where visitors can make themselves the “only handmade ice cream bar in the world”.
Blue Seal Representative Director Masaaki Mizuta says the company would like to offer “pleasure and happiness for each visitor in their own personal way.”
The shop will be open every day from 9:00 to 17:30 all year round. The facility includes a “history zone” where visitors can see the history of Foremost Blue Seal since the company opened in 1948, and a factory tour zone that includes an experience of “icing” in minus 25 degrees centigrade inside a freezer, and more.
The entry is free except for the kitchen studio where visitors can make an ice cream bar. The kitchen studio will be open three times a day, from 10:00 to 11:00, from 13:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 17:00. The entry to the studio costs ¥1,000/person.
In the studio kitchen, visitors can choose from four flavors; vanilla, chocolate, beni-imo (purple sweet potato), and mango. They then choose from three shapes, heart, smile or cat, what kind of an ice cream bar they want to make, and decorate it with a topping of choice.
