Naming rights for Comprehensive Athletic Park for sale
Okinawa Prefecture started accepting applications Tuesday for the naming rights of the Okinawa Comprehensive Athletic Park in Hiyagon, Okinawa City.
The winning bid for the naming rights should offer more than ¥10 million per year, excluding taxes, for a contract period of three years. The deadline for the applications is Nov. 18.
The successful applicant company should have a representative office in Okinawa, and be closely related to Okinawa. The prefecture is calling for applicants both in and outside of Okinawa to bid. The winner will be selected by judging all the related facts, like the bidding price and the regional contribution of the applicant company. The date, from which the new name will be used, is subject to negotiations with the winning company.
The name should be common and easy to use for Okinawa residents, and it will be displayed on signs placed in and outside the park, as well as on the park’s website and brochures.
This is the first time that Okinawa Prefecture calls for applications to acquire the naming rights. For details, call the Administrative Management Office of Okinawa at 098-866-2155, or check the Okinawa Prefecture website.
