Police arrested 22-year-old Keisuke Onaga in Miyagi Prefecture Sep. 29, on suspicion of theft.

Onaga was placed on the national wanted list after he allegedly stole ¥1,010,000 in cash and a coin box from the cash register and safe in a convenience store in Urasoe City on the night between Sep. 9 and 10. Onaga has reportedly admitted to the charge.

According to Urasoe Police, Onaga worked at the convenience store, and stole the proceeds from the cash register when he was alone in the shop at midnight. He escaped to Miyagi Prefecture where he was arrested in a pachinko parlor in Miyagi City.
