A restaurant in Chatan Uminchu Wharf Fisherina Building, directly operated by Chatan Town Fishermen’s Association, has not paid its utility bills for over a year totaling ¥3.3 million.

The manager appointed by the Warf filed a lawsuit against the restaurant on June 27. The parties reached an agreement out of the court when the Fishermen’s Association agreed to pay the bills in full in one lump sum.

The association also decided to close the restaurant because of its financial difficulties.

According to the lawsuit, the restaurant failed to pay the bills from May 2016 to June 2017. The association opened the restaurant in 2013.
