The Okinawan native, WBC Flyweight champion, Daigo Higa returned to Okinawa from Tokyo on the 31st of January for his upcoming second title defense. Daigo will face off with Moises Fuentes Rubio from Mexico, who is currently ranked 9th in the same weight division. Rubio also happened to arrive in Okinawa on the same day.

Higa says of his opponent, “the audience will see a good fight and witness another knockout”. If Higa does knockout his opponent, he will match the Japanese record of 15 consecutive knockout wins. The title match will be broadcasted Sunday February 4th at 8pm on Japanese TV, Channel 8.
