Paintball is newest adventure sport at northern resort

Paintball game involves intense team work, crawling and hiding.

It might still a little bit if the hunter becomes the victim, but that’s part of the excitement of paintball, about to be unveiled as a part of the adventure activities at the Kanucha¬ Bay Hotel Okinawa in Nago City.

Kids who are too young to join the tournament can shoot a target.

The soft opening event for the new paintball venue is February 8th, with hotel officials inviting the public to check out the paintball and give it a try from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.  Kanucha Bay officials are asking those interested in participating in the paintball competition to R.S.V.P. by email or fax to the hotel. Officially, the response deadline is January 16th, but officials say they’re flexible.

Participants will be provided masks and harnesses for safety protection.  The event will be held in area 22 at the Kanucha Bay Hotel.  A parking lot is available for visitors, with participants then taking a hotel shuttle bus to the competition site.  Organizers of the paintball competition remind participants to wear long sleeve shirts and pants that will probably get dirty.  There will be a tournament game experience for participants 12 years of age or older, and a mark hitting competition for kids who cannot join the tournament.
