Flowers and plants of all varieties will fill Nago Fishing Port Jan. 25 through 27.

The colorful pink sakura, the cherry blossom, is in full bloom across northern Oknawa, and Nago Fishing Port is taking the occasion to have its own 13^th Village of Flowers, Hana no sato, Garden Festival.

The three-day festival runs January 25^th ~ 27^th, from 9 a.m. ~ 8 p.m. at the Nago Fishing Port, inside the Nago Sakura Festival parking area.  The village of flowers association is holding the garden festival, which is separate from the Nago Cherry Blossom Festival running at the same time.  It collects information, introduces the public to flowers, conducts instruction and explanations of the cherry blossoms, does spot sales, and basically promotes the concept of the village’s flower association.

The exhibition and sale runs across the three days, offering flower seeds, fruit tree seeds, plants, garden trees, potted plants and horticulture materials.  They’re also running a school on how to cultivate flowers, how to properly plant and compost flowers, and the proper pruning method for flowering trees, garden trees and shrubs.

The Flower Garden Festival will also be selling lottery tickets, as well as food and drinks.
