Argentine Tango makes musical debut in Nanjo
Argentine tango isn’t one of the most common music genre heard on Okinawa, but Sunday it’s the only music on stage at Sugar Hall in Nanjo City.
Pasion Emocion y Tango Argentino is the live show on stage beginning at 2:30 p.m. The live music is by a bandoneon and a piano. Tango dance will be announced through cooperation of Ricardo y Yumi Tango Studio in Okinawa.
Doors open for the Sunday show at 2 p.m. Advanced admission for adults is ¥3,000 or ¥3,500 at the door to Sugar Hall, 307 Aza Sashiki, Sashiki district, Nanjo City. Tickets for pre-school youngsters are ¥1,500. Reservations can be made at (098) 947-1100.
To get to Sugar Hall, travel south on Okinawa Expressway and get off at Haebaru Kita (North) Exit turning left onto Hwy 329. Continue straight at Yonabaru as the road changes to 331 (the 329 splits to the left) and continue about 6 kilometers until you see a sign to Sugar Hall to the left.
