Ginoza Village Fair has a bit of everything
The 16th Ginoza Village Fair comes to life Saturday and Sunday, promising much more than agriculture products, marine products and handicrafts.
It’s an entertainment-filled festival, from the Japanese drums performance kicking it off Saturday at noon, to the Okinawa pop and folk songs on Sunday just before 7 p.m. Best of all, it’s all free at Mirai Ginoza, 1633 Kanna, Ginoza Village.
Saturday highlights are the tuna fish demolition show at 4 p.m. and a strawberries quick eating contest at 4:35 p.m., and live music from 5:10 p.m. There will be exhibitions and sales of goods, handicrafts and products from 1 p.m. ~ 7 p.m., as well as experience corners, sale of special millet juice and beef soup.
The special lifestyle demonstrations, including a kitchen garden cultivation school, also runs 10 a.m. ~ 7 p.m. Sunday. A street dance showcases at 1 p.m., live music at 3:10 p.m., more strawberries competition at 4:35 p.m., and music from 5 p.m.
The festival is performed as part of Ginoza Village industrial development program. Agricultural and marine products, as well a commercial and industrial products processed in Ginoza Village, will be on exhibition.
