“With the popularity of gospel stage plays in the USA at an all time high, we want Okinawa to also enjoy these inspirational musical events in their own language.” The musical will feature special guest performances by dynamic gospel vocalist, A. C. McClendon III and local gospel songstress, Yoko Kelly. Enjoy great contemporary and traditional gospel titles including a popular gospel favorite, “His Eye is on the Sparrow.”

The storyline in “Hear My Voice” musical drama is centered around Ai, a young single woman who has been deeply in love with Yuto since high school. Ai discovers, however, that Yuto is keeping secrets and may have other priorities. With advice and opinions on the subject coming from all directions, Ai starts to examine what she must do to truly be happy. With the help of friends, Ai learns the real meaning of love.

This musical features dynamic solo performances and reveals powerful emotions and a little humor that will keep the audience captivated from start to finish.

John R. Bivins Jr. and A.C. McClendon III are directing the performance, while Damon Rae Smith is the music director and William Amos performs drums. Yoko Kelly is a vocalist.
