Shuri Castle Park to share its treasures

Shuri Castle Park, long in the business of collecting cultural assets related to the Ryukyu Kingdom, will tomorrow begin sharing those treasures with the public.

Through May 16th, the first phase of Shuri Castle Park’s planned exhibition will open for viewing of the cultural assets collected in recent years.  Many have been restored or re-manufactured, trying to upgrade their condition.  Many Ryukyu treasures from the end of the Ryukyu Kingdom era to after the World War II Battle of Okinawa will be exhibited.

Exhibition Room on the second floor of the South Hall in Shuri Castle Park, 1-2 Shuri Kinjo, Naha City.  Admission is ¥800 for adults, ¥600 for high school students, and ¥300 for junior high school and elementary school students.

The event runs daily 8:30 a.m. ~ 7 p.m.  The second exhibition phase will run May17th through July 2nd.
