Indian Classical Court Music coming to Okinawa

A seies of musical events will introduce the classic Indian court music and its traditional instruments it’s played with to Okinawan audiences in six performances during July.

A Night of Indian Classical Court Music is on tap this week at the Café & Dining Three in Okinawa City.

This performance is part of a series of classical court music of India performed at six venues in Okinawa during July.  This program, consisting of a sitar and a table, takes place Friday the 19th, starting at 8:30 p.m. at Café & Dining Three, 1-17-25 Chuo, second floor, in Okinawa City.  Admission is ¥1,500 to enter, and guests must order at least one drink or food.

The classical court music of India has been offered to gods for centuries, and the melody is the subtle and profound target loved by maharaja.  What is introduced this time is not only music but also a VJ who will participate, and there will be a collaboration of images and music. VJ will color the world of the India music fascination images, such as a kaleidoscope and a tradition pattern.

Instrumentals will be played by the experts who stacked pursuit of knowledge in home India, and visitors will enjoy the world of a subtle and profound and mystical sound by the Indian music musicians.
