‘Viva Latino!’ latest Kijimuna Fest event
A Latin dance workshop ant the live sounds of salsa music come to the Koza International Plaza & Koza Music Town as the latest event in the Kijimuna Festa.
The music and workshop, which are both free, take place on the first floor of the plaza from 2 p.m. ~ 4 p.m. Koza International Plaza was opened in Koza last November, in order to help foreigners who live in Okinawa to overcome the difficulties of everyday life caused by language barriers. Since then, it has been planning various events to bring foreigners and Okinawans closer together.
“Viva Latino!” planned this time consists of two parts, the Latin dance workshop, and the live performance of salsa music. The Latin dance lesson that starts at 2 p.m. will be at the plaza, 1-17-15 Chuo, Okinawa City. A special dance lecturer will teach Latin dance plainly also for beginners.
After finishing this 45-minute lesson, the live salsa music will be performed in “Gajyumaru Hiroba” of Koza Music Town Oto-Ichibam, 1F, starting at 3:15 p.m.. This live concert will be performed by KACHIMBA, which works not only within Okinawa but also overseas. Music Town Oto-Ichiba’s 6th Anniversary event will start at 2:45 p.m., and includes a dance performance.
