Dumplings evening set for Fukushuen

Fukushuen is a peaceful little park in the heart of Naha City.

The Japan-China Friendship Association is staging a special “Let’s Eat Dumplings at Fukushuen” event Saturday in Naha City.

The 6 p.m. ~ 8 p.m. event takes place at Fukushuen, a Chinese garden in Kume district of Naha City. The venue, built in 1992 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of establishment of a sister city relationship with Naha and Fuzhou, China, will be the setting for an evening of singing and dancing under the full moon. Fuzou is among other things famous for its gyoza dumplings.

The organizers, the Japan-China Friendship Association, is inviting the public to enjoy Chinese dances, songs, instruments and a taiji performance while enjoying the dumplings and snacks.

Admission to the event, including the dumplings, is ¥2,000 for single persons and ¥3,000 for couples. Children from 6 through high school pay \500. Free parking is available.
