The best gear to catch the big one are on display at the Convention Center this weekend.

“World fishermen and anglers unite” would be a fitting motto for the second Okinawa Fishing Trade Show coming up at the Okinawa Convention Center this weekend.

The free two-day exhibition has 61 sport fishing related companies showing their latest lures, tackle, fishing gear and other equipment for every fisherman to salivate over while pondering what would be just the right one to catch the biggest fish that always seems to get away.  In addition to hardware, fishing instructors and field testers hold fishing talk shows and give lectures throughout both days, offering good advice and tips at virtually every booth.

There’s even a casting corner where anyone can put their fishing skills to the test and have fun. The exhibition is open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday in the Okinawa Convention Center Exhibition Hall in Ginowan. Admission to the event is free, and free parking is available on adjacent parking lots.
