Dr. Tomoyuki “Tommy” Kaneko has a very friendly personality.

Dr. Tomoyuki “Tommy” Kaneko is a dentist who is passionate about Okinawa.

That’s why, when he returned to Japan from a stint in the U.S., he decided to set up his practice here.

Okinawa White Dental Clinic has all the latest equipment.

Okinawa White Dental Clinic has been in business since Jan. 15th, 2014, in Kamisedo, Chatan. Its services include general dentistry, dental implants, root canals, pedodontics, teeth whitening, and orthodontics.

Dr. “Tommy” Kaneko graduated from Osaka University Dental University in 2004 and continued his studies at the University of Pennsylvania, where he eventually became a faculty teacher. During his career, he took part in various research projects including developing a special mouthwash for pregnant women to keep oral environment in a hygienic and healthy condition, and a medicine to sterilize periodontal bacteria.

In 2012 he returned to Japan and began to prepare to open his own clinic. His reason for choosing Okinawa was because he liked its beautiful weather, and the kind nature of the Okinawan people. Another reason was to put in use the experience he obtained in the U.S. to serve the many foreigners who reside in Okinawa, and to provide dental treatment to match exactly what those non-Japanese residents have been used to.

At his clinic, Dr. Tommy, as he is affectionately known to his patients, utilizes the most advanced technology and equipment to provide a treatment. “I want everyone who comes to our clinic be satisfied with our latest technology and equipment currently available anywhere”, says Dr. Tommy.

He has a very friendly personality, and is more than willing to give his patients any advice concerning teeth or any oral questions. “Anyone should feel free to ask me anything that is in their mind, and I’m only too happy to explain,” he says.

The interior of his clinic is basically white, giving it a fresh and neat outlook. Lighting is designed to create a warm atmosphere and ease any apprehension a patient might have.

Okinawa White Dental Clinic is open 9:15 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 3 – 7 p.m. It’s closed on Thursdays, Sundays and Japanese holidays. Their toll-free telephone number is 0120-515-118, and the normal telephone and fax is at (098) 989-3780. The location of the clinic is at http://goo.gl/maps/h7gku
